As January comes to a close a lot of us are starting to feel the fatigue of our New Years resolutions. Take a look at a few ways to keep your goals from falling by the wayside.
Choose Your Resolutions Carefully
Remember, you can’t change your life in one year. If you started the year off with more than three resolutions you may be finding it difficult to keep up with all of them. Take a moment to prioritize your resolutions and keep the top three, let the other ones fall in to place along side them. You may find that focusing on your top three resolutions is all you needed to ensure that the last few come together well.
For most of us trying to lose that extra twenty pounds this month didn’t work out, and you’re probably not a billionaire yet from all the money saving that you’ve been doing. Just remember, don’t get discouraged! Rome wasn’t built in a day, and it’ll definitely take more than a month to change things in your life. Everything worth doing takes time. So, allow yourself to let the process work. It’s a marathon, not a sprint.
Write a list of ‘Why’s’
The top three New Years resolutions are – Lose weight, manage money better and get organized. But why? Do you want to lose weight to live a healthier lifestyle? Do you want to put your savings toward a college fund for your children? Will being organized help you with that new business venture? If so, WRITE IT DOWN. You need to remember ‘why’ you’re doing this.
